House of Fisher, the Thames Valley serviced apartment and apart-hotel specialist, has been awarded the coveted Quality Marque from the Association of Serviced Apartment Providers (ASAP), after achieving a successful accreditation and high score in a recent Quality Assessment.

The ASAP Quality Assurance programme was designed to assess its members’ properties and ensure core compliance of legal, health & safety requirements and good practice as well as to provide a measurement and comparison of quality throughout the serviced apartment sector.

As part of the process the assessor experiences the guest’s journey from: selection of an apartment, the booking process, arrival formalities as well as an overnight stay and a full departure. Each element of the experience is scored and compared to ensure the product meets ASAP’s exacting standards for quality, safety and security.

Following accreditation the assessment is carried out on an annual and on-going basis and operators offered a detailed statistical report intended to support continuous improvement of their business.

The QA programme has attracted interest from overseas apartment operators and a number of UK-based agents have expressed their intention to sell only ASAP-accredited apartments. ASAPs long-term aim is to make ASAP QA the ‘kitemark’ for the wider serviced apartment sector in the UK and beyond.
