SACO, the worldwide serviced apartment company, has managed to shave off one fifth of the accommodation spend made by international law firm DAC Beachcroft.

DAC Beachcroft was looking to cut its business travel costs without compromising on quality and turned to serviced apartment provider SACO for a solution. Traditionally, the law firm had used a variety of methods and providers to book and manage its business accommodation requirements.

Serviced apartments were introduced into the accommodation mix, as a cost-effective and more flexible alternative to hotels, with SACO appointed to manage and book apartments on behalf of the law firm. After a period of time, SACO was asked to become the sole accommodation provider for all business travel, whether for serviced apartments or for hotels.

After the first six months the firm has witnessed an average saving of 17% for each night spent in a serviced apartment as opposed to a hotel, based on the nightly accommodation cost alone. Taking into account ancillary savings versus hotels on items such as room service, hotel meals and cost of internet access, it has achieved an estimated 20% savings, equating to several thousands of pounds.

With SACO as their sole provider of accommodation and with a dedicated team servicing their daily requirements, DAC Beachcroft has also benefited from more efficient and time-saving processes as well as consolidated management information, reporting and traveller tracking.

With an annual accommodation spend forecast to be over half a million pounds in 2012, DAC Beachcroft is set to make even greater savings with SACO throughout the year.
